CHALLENGE
Every over‑the‑air update risked a crisis. When devices performed poorly after updates, operating system and application teams blamed each other. High‑severity incidents were traced to over‑the‑air updates, but teams lacked clarity about which component was responsible because there was no shared data.
SOLUTION
We built an end‑to‑end AWS pipeline using Lambda, Glue, Athena and QuickSight to split performance metrics by application and system version. The pipeline automatically ingests telemetry, stores it in a queryable database and surfaces metrics through dashboards.
Impact
Both application and operating‑system developers now access a single dashboard showing performance by version. Root‑cause analysis times have dropped, executive escalations have disappeared and data rather than speculation drives accountability.
